Microsoft Windows Live OneCare 2.0, a BETA product that said hello to thousands of invited beta testers on 12th July 2007, can be now seen on the OneCare website: http://onecare.live.com/ - for a free download as trial for 90 days. The beta version to all invited beta testers was a trial for 270 days: showing all the new interface, features and high security.

While working with the intensity in computer and web security, Windows Live OneCare 2.0 BETA did a good job in showing the potential in multiple - business and family - computer protection and backing up important documents. Together with Windows Live OneCare Family Safety, OneCare was able to provide the fullest extent of protection. Internet security in Windows Live OneCare was also improved. With the Firewall provided by OneCare, hackers and other unauthorized access can be block from both your computer, and network if all the computers have OneCare registered to work with each other.

With the multiple computer protection feature offered by OneCare, you'll be able to protect the other 2 computers using your computer via OneCare and see their monthly reports. You'll also able to back up your important documents to the other computers so that if there's an attack on your computer, the data can be recovered from the other computers.

Also, with the Family Safety, parents can safely allow children to access the internet blocking out pond?ography, spams, and other threads commonly found on the internet. Also, parents can track who are children chatting with, what are they looking at.

However, in the BETA and Trial, Virus definition database cannot be updated because it's in trial. Therefore, your computer will not be fully protected in the trial mode. Also, if the Firewall was to be compared with other firewalls such as ZoneAlarm, the firewall is not comprehensive enough.

The Windows Live OneCare 2.0 release can be purchased over Windows Live OneCare official website. And information for the OneCare Family Safety can be found at https://fss.live.com/. All the products require Windows XP SP2 or later.
