And what's so special about this new version? it's for Windows and Mac! In competition with other browsers such as Firefox, Internet Explorer 7 and Opera, it has proven to load faster than any of the previous browsers. It has a HTML engine close to Firefox, but differ in one way or another. Because it's in beta stage, developers from Apple are still finding out problems from the beta testers. Though it cannot add extensions to boost the functions of Safari and no themes can be added to change the look of Safari like Firefox, it too has tabbed browsing, simple and user-friendly interface. Safari 3.0 BETA for both Windows and Mac is available at Safari's official website: http://www.apple.com/safari/. @andymac4182 Hello to all out there in betaPod land :P Date joined: 8 Jul 07Total posts: 178 Location: Brisbane, Australia | RE: [Review] Safari 3.0 BETA The resizeable text boxes are so cool :D i wish all browsers had that :D Safari looks like once they work out some bugs and make it faster on windows it should be a good browser. They need some web developer tools now like firebug :P the activity window is similar to what u get with firebug so its good for debugging ajax simply but nothing too complex The dragging of tabs looks great cant wait to see this browser in the fight against ie :D Maybe in the future there will be a open source version of it and then firefox and safari can exchange ideas :D cant wait to see that :D The search feature in safari is awesome i really like it :D it dulls the rest of the screen and shows the words u are searching for bookmark all open tabs is another feature that i think could really help it take off :D --- Andrew Web Designer/Programmer |

Tab-moving (one window to another) has problems - the tab does not change to a window image sometimes while dragging out (little sensitivity) 3. No right click to customize toolbar ?!? 4. No such function is bookmarks to add in a bookmark while specifying URL. (at least i can't find it) 5. Minor bugs Generally it is fast and speedy --- ![]() |

I quite love the tab-moving. it allows me to combine windows together and split them. but i rather want to open my new windows in a new tab, just like FF. |
$hojx93 Date joined: 30 Jun 07 Total posts: 47 Location: Singapore | RE: [Review] Safari 3.0 BETA Which is why I always drag a link to the tab-bar to open it instead of pressing on a link for a new window. --- ![]() |

:Mauris betapod ROCKS! Date joined: 1 Jul 07Total posts: 20 Location: Singapore! | RE: [Review] Safari 3.0 BETA it was said on the official safari website that in the next version, all those we mentioned will be release. that's cool man. they even mentioned the ability of alternative input method usage and fixing of several bugs. |
