Doesn't mean that the larger your Pagefile the better your performance. This means that you need to experiment out the best pagefile size. Large pagefile size on a high RAM system may reduce performance as the system will be slowed down by the Read/Write(IO) process to the pagefile. Optimized pagefile size would be one pagefile on a very good hard disk that is 3 times of your total RAM size. For example if i have 1024mb of RAM, the pagefile size i would set it to manual and i will put 3000mb as maximum. However, it's best that you play around with the pagefile size. No harm. |

![]() @Hellclanner i love betaPod :) Date joined: 25 Apr 07Total posts: 525 Location: Woodlands, Singapore | RE: Page File You go to 1) Control Panel > System Properties > Advanced Tab > Performance Settings > Advanced Tab > Change button 2) Right click My Computer > Properties > Advanced Tab > Performance Settings > Advanced Tab > Change button to change your pagefile settings. however, large amount of pagefile is not really recommended. Best to have an optimized amount and increase your RAM. |
