Do you use earphones, canalphones(in-ear), headphones or what?

I have both.

It really depends what im doing.

I have good quality headphones for listening to stuff when i dont want to hear anything around me.
I have ones that go in your ears for listening to music at work and when i have to hear stuff thats around me.
and i have behind the head ones that are for skype and other voip services as they have a mic
and just my laptop speakers when i want to just play music or something :P

It's quite contradicting... I both like and hate canalphones.

Earphones
=) Generally cheaper
=) No noise-cancelling allows listening to essential sounds from environment (e.g. friends talking, train station announcing etc.)
=( Noise from environment

Canalphones
=) Better bass response
=( Needs more maintenance - can be unhygenic to share as it sits on ear canal.
=( Weird feeling of having something stuck inside your ears (my personal opinion)
