Since the presence of Windows Vista, the decendant of Windows XP by Microsoft, menubars on many applications by Microsoft have been removed. Examples would be IE7, Windows Defender, Windows Live Messenger, and more!| Authors | Posts |
![]() @Hellclanner i love betaPod :) Date joined: 25 Apr 07Total posts: 525 Location: Woodlands, Singapore | Windows Vista, the next operating system claiming to have the best security system compared to all previous versions of Windows, and other new softwares by Microsoft showed signs of dropping the menu bar, which was a feature in Windows ever since the first version of Windows, Windows 3.11. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Along with other softwares by Microsoft such as Windows Defender, Windows Internet Explorer 7, Windows Media Player 11, Windows Explorer in Vista, Microsoft Office 2008, Windows Live Mail, Windows Photo Gallery and more, now do not have menu bars by default. Some of them such as Windows Defender and Windows Internet Explorer 7 replaced the menubars with icons in the toolbars elsewhere.
